Chief Executive Officer: Ludus Dance
Ludus Dance has an exciting opportunity for a new Chief Executive Officer to join us at a pivotal point in our development. You will be an outstanding strategic leader with the ability to drive both artistic excellence and a sustainable vision.
Salary: Up to £35,000 pro-rata (depending on experience)
Hours of work: 30 hours a week
Base: Lancaster/Morecambe
Period of contract: Permanent

Ludus Dance have contributed to a thriving dance ecology across Lancashire and the North West for over 40 years, placing excellence, engagement, learning and health at the heart of our work. Their inclusive approach is recognised and valued in the dance industry and beyond. They have a particular focus on children and young people who are hard to reach and living in areas of socio-economic deprivation. Ludus are now developing a new model of working encompassing greater digital and outdoor delivery, in collaboration with a range of partners.
Reporting to the Board, working closely with the Business Development and Fundraising Manager, and supported by a small core team, the Chief Executive role offers a highly desirable opportunity to lead a dynamic and progressive organisation.
They are looking for an experienced professional, and a dynamic leader with exceptional creativity, passion for dance and deep understanding of the sector. You will possess the entrepreneurial ability and strategic business-planning knowledge to take Ludus Dance forward, whilst ensuring its security and stability. You will combine artistic vision with commercial awareness, outstanding communication skills and first-class people management.
