‘Scientists & Light Artists – Partners in Presentation & Producing’
Join us on Saturday morning, November 2 and make contacts and connections that will help shape your future work in light art. It’s an informal, relaxed opportunity – a lively, free networking session over croissants, coffee and chat – to find out what goes into making the best light art when scientists and artists work together.
Sparking the conversation will be a special panel of guests including artist, Nicola Rae, Professor of Space Physics at Lancaster University, Jim Wild plus Robert Walsh, Professor of Solar Astrophysics at UCLan and artist, Alex Rinsler. Robert and Alex have worked together to create the ‘sun’ installation for LUL.
And it’s a unique chance to meet international, national and regional artists and companies that make great light art and tell them more about your work too.
The morning is an integral part of Light Up Lancaster 2019 – a chance for artists to mingle, get to know each other, pick up tips and advice, learn about what it takes to become a regular on the light art circuit and, of course, have a good natter!
