The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join The Storey & Events team. You will be primarily responsible for the administration and delivery of events across our remit.

You will work as part of the Storey and Ashton Hall Events Team, undertaking and assisting with a range of functions required to operate the venues, including facilitating, supporting and delivering a comprehensive programme of events and activities safely and successfully. The types of events that we look after vary from large weddings, live music gigs, comedy acts, and more.

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and for this reason, you will be expected to be flexible in line with the needs of the business, as the role may vary from day to day. A professional and confidential approach is always required, and strong communication skills are essential.

You will need to either hold, or be willing to work towards holding, a Personal Alcohol Licence & First Aid Certificate.

This post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 37 per week, working 5 out of 7 days on a rota basis based on business needs. You will be required to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

This post is based at The Storey, Lancaster.

The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of this business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm.
