Lancaster City Council Economic Development is seeking a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic individual to join their culture and heritage team, acting as the arts and events lead for the Council to plan and implement an ambitious and innovative arts and events programme.
The Mayor of Lancaster is asking local children to put pen to paper to help find his Young Poet Laureates of the year with the theme being “Unity in the Community”.
Councillor David Whitaker has launched a quest to find this year’s Lancaster District’s Young Poet Laureates and is asking budding writers to write an original poem of no more than 40 lines. The theme “Unity in the Community” is asking local children to look at how we can make our communities stronger, more tolerant and show respect for each other. There are two categories: Junior Poet Laureate (up to age 11) and Young Poet Laureate (12-16).
