May’s First Friday

Another First Friday has come and gone and what a fun First Friday it was!

The theme for May’s First Friday was make, do and mend which saw hundreds of people being involved. We had sweet music being played by people from all walks of life on the Illumaphonium, beautiful prints being made with Iain’s Sloane (Lancaster’s very own master printer) at The Print Studio in The Storey and old clothes being lovingly up-cycled with the help of The Dukes costume designers.

Not forget people roller skating the night away at the Ludus Roller Bop, fantastic artwork being created at The Radish with wonderful local artist, Bonnie Craig and Artists being met at The Dukes Gallery Iron Press Printing exhibition.

There was laughter at Late Night Love at The Dukes, Heartache at The Midnight Soup at The Storey and intelligent conversation at the North West Literary Salon.

All rounded off by dancing the night away with Horovod at The Gregon, Born to Rock at the Wagon and Horses, Folk night at The Three Mariners and The Glass Poppies at The Stonewell Tavern.

And not forgetting a bit of magic with The Witches of Eastwick at The Grand Theatre.

Overall it was another wonderful Friday in the wonderful city of Lancaster. And now? On to planning another fantastic First Friday for June!
