Lancaster Art Fair Artist Workshop Call Out

Lancaster Art Fair are looking for North West based established and emerging artists and makers to run workshops for this year’s Lancaster Art Fair.

This year Lancaster Art Fair runs from 19th-23rd August and workshops will be held at Lancaster Library and The Storey Gallery. If you print, paint, draw, sculpt, film or create we would love to hear your workshop ideas! The workshops should ideally be suitable for beginners. The workshops can be suitable for children, young people and adults.

You can apply for the 1 day workshops at The Storey Gallery or 2 day workshops at Lancaster Library.

Storey Gallery 1 Day Workshop Information:

• Dates: Between Tuesday 19th August and Saturday 23rd August.
  1 Day Workshop: Times: 12-4pm, Total: 8 hours.
  – Workshop preparation = 4 hours
  – Workshop delivery = 4 hours
  – LAF Artist fee= £300 for 8 hours (Full Day) Plus Materials Budget

Lancaster Library 2 Day Workshop Information

• Dates: Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd August.
  Two Day Workshops: Times: 12-4pm, Total: 16 hours
  – Workshop Preparation: 8 hours
  – Workshop Delivery: 8 hours (4 hours on each day)
  – LAF Artist fee= £600 for 16 hours (2 full days) Plus Materials Budget

Application Guidance:

• Send a short summary of your workshop proposal and estimated budget for materials. Include details on the processes involved and expected outcome of the workshop.
• Specify which age ranges the workshops are suitable for and any experience necessary to participate in the workshop.
• Up to 5 images of your artwork/craft, if applicable, include any previous workshops you have led. These images should relate to your proposed workshop in some way.
• Link to your website/social media if applicable
• Please specify if there are any days that you cannot lead a workshop between Tuesday 19th and Saturday 23rd August.
• Public Liability Insurance of £5m will be required ideally 4 weeks before the Wednesday 19th August. Artists are liable for any claims arising from their goods or services.
