Litfest
Bringing the best in contemporary literature, illustration and ideas to Lancaster — since 1978
Description
Litfest strives to encourage the enjoyment of and participation in reading, writing, illustrating and the discussion of ideas by placing them at the heart of Lancashire’s culture.
Originally founded in 1978, Litfest is the UK’s third-oldest literary festival! We are a volunteer board-run organisation operating in Lancaster and the surrounding areas.
We put on a full festival programme every year, and we’re also involved in a whole host of other events and projects — you can join our mailing list to find out more.
We’ve been lucky to have lots of exciting authors, poets and illustrators involved with the festival over the years, and we can’t wait to continue that legacy in the future.
