About Lancaster Arts Partnership
Formed in 2009, the Lancaster District Arts Partnership (LDAP) is a consortium of organizations and freelancers working together to champion and promote the strategic development of excellent arts activities in the Lancaster District. Lancaster Arts City is the home of LDAP on the internet.
LDAP is currently co-chaired by Marianne Barraclough (More Music) and Chris Lawson (The Dukes). The consortium’s work is wide-ranging and developing quickly. We work with other arts and non-arts organizations towards the delivery of our Vision, Mission and Values:
VISION: A district widely celebrated for its outstanding arts, culture and creativity. MISSION: LDAP exists to offer a dynamic perspective and strategic voice, working with stakeholders to enable a thriving arts and cultural sector. We are a collaborative network sharing knowledge and expertise, rooted in our unique environment of city, coast and countryside. VALUES:– Supportive – Together we understand each other's needs and as a network offer support, knowledge and information sharing.
– Strategic – Together we know the importance of being able to think and communicate strategically: when we communicate as one voice, that voice is stronger and more likely to be heard.
– Dynamic – Together we are able to adapt to changing circumstances in an appropriate and agile manner. The network is able to flex and change to best meet our goals.
– Collaborative – We recognise the richness that working together brings: individuals and organisations broaden their perspectives and achieve more than they could on their own.
– Open – We have a welcoming and transparent approach. Together we support freelancers, audiences, participants and the creative community.
We work closely with Arts Council England, Lancashire County Council and Lancaster City Council, all of whom support and contribute to the Partnership. LDAP is also a member of Arts Lancashire. Arts Lancashire supports quality arts provision and new artistic ambition across the County.
The LDAP Executive panel also includes representatives from Arts Council England, Lancaster City Council and the Lancaster City Museums Service.Administrator: Johnny Bean
