Join County of Song’s Loz Kaye for a free singing workshop exploring a Lancashire legend with a contemporary twist! Part of The Lancaster Music Festival.
When 2 – 3 PM Saturday 12th October 2024
Where The Gregson Centre, 33-35 Moorgate, Lancaster, LA1 3PY

Come and learn a song from “White Stag Cantata” first developed at Horse and Bamboo in Waterfoot, with lyrics by Bob Frith. We’ll be giving the voice a workout and exploring through singing and generally making a noise. This engaging session will be using inspiration from folk and ballad styles, to tell the story of the mysterious white stag, still rumoured to appear in the Rossendale valley…

All comers are welcome, no particular experience needed – you just need an open mind and enthusiasm! We will provide lyrics and sheet music for anyone who would like to use it, though there is no need to read music. We are happy for families and young people to join. People under 15 should be accompanied by an adult.
