12pm: Off the Rails Big Band: Formed as a creative jazz orchestra in 1997 and back in that territory again through improvising under a bridge during lockdown. Playing good time music from Mulatu Astatke, Billy Jenkins and more.
🎧: Shadrach (after Vipertime)
1pm: Bess Shooter: Leeds based saxophonist/producer Bess Shooter explores the creative interaction between humans and machines. Her quartet combines jazz, folk, and electronics to create a unique, contemporary sound.
🎧: Tell ’em Mr Biscuits
2pm: Kader: Sextet playing ‘not-so-standards’ from the 50’s to the present (Roy Hargrove, Ibrahim Maloof, Henri Texier), choosing tunes that appeal to us and that audiences will enjoy.
🎧: Microscopic composed by Richard Iles, played by Kader
3pm: NONUNONU: Reminiscent of 70s fusion, combining sounds from recent electronic and hiphop styles of music.

4pm: Rafe’s Dilemma: Exploring the links between depicting plays through music, soundscapes, spoken word and free improvisation.

5pm: Ariane Mamon: Ariane expresses through her music and performance the feeling of divine ecstasy: the feeling that birds of light are flying through you.

6pm: Major Ruse: Major Ruse are a hip hop influenced jazz trio with a rocky, punk edge, described by Tom Robinson as ‘a totally fantastic f***ing noise’.

7pm: Wandering Monster: High-quality, intricately arranged original material – expect dynamic collective improvisation, raucous spontaneity, sensitivity and virtuosity.

9pm: Arun Ghosh: Arun Ghosh is a British-Asian clarinettist, composer, music educator. Conceived in Calcutta, bred in Bolton, and matured in Manchester, Arun’s musical vocabulary and vision reflect his rich geographical heritage.

There’s no need to book a ticket – just turn up, find some space and have fun! Both indoor and outdoor stages have plenty of space in between tables, so there’s room to breath and move.
