This amazing musical, sensory, multi-media environment grabs your attention and keeps you exploring, playing, experimenting amongst the Magic Islands in Space. Spot your reflection in sparkly craters, be mesmerised by modules on the rocket, ride the travellator! Light Beams from from David Boultbee (BREAD Art) meet lo-fi inventive interventions from More Music’s Anni Tracy and Ben McCabe.
Singing, music, projections, texture, colour and shadow create a magical experience ideal for very young children and their families. An immersive, interactive and responsive space-show allowing children to set the pace and freely explore.
The Storey Auditorium will be transformed into a retro sci-fi landscape where projections, objects, instruments and playful interventions gently flow between light and shade.
Magic Islands was originally developed by More Music in partnership with Charlotte Arculus, Early Years Artist and artistic director of Magic Adventure and developed further by Lancaster Arts as part of Noisy Gallery. This development for Light Up Lancaster has been jointly produced by Lancaster Arts and More Music.
